A second encounter with queer time and corporeality.
Performed in Wellington for play_station's Imminent Domain showing—curated by Robbie Handcock and facilitated by Jack Jenkins—this iteration of Hamish McIntosh's durational solo explored responses to Joe Goode's 29 Effeminate Gestures (1987). Set amongst the works of Caitlin Devoy, Robbie Handcock, Jake Preval, and ZK Steiner-Fox, and extended from four hours to eight, in Book, Ladder 2 McIntosh embodied a limp-wristed horizon of gesture, frustration, and softness.
